WHY IMPACT MAKERS FOUNDATION EXISTS
Impact Makers Foundation was incorporated in 2022 as a Delaware nonstock nonprofit corporation and recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
The Foundation was formed to steward equity originally directed to nonprofit ownership from the all profits to charity social enterprise Impact Makers that was founded in Richmond VA in 2006 by Michael Pirron. It ensures that enterprise-derived value would be deployed in alignment with charitable purpose in perpetuity.
Rather than functioning solely as a traditional grantmaking organization, the Foundation operates as a nonprofit impact investor. It aligns both principal and deployment with mission, investing directly in socially responsible businesses and providing loans, grants, guarantees, revenue-share agreements, and executive partnership to advance social and community benefit.
The Foundation’s structure reflects a commitment to long-term stewardship, governance accountability, and disciplined capital allocation in service of charitable impact.
Legal Structure and Independence
Impact Makers Foundation is legally separate from Impact Makers, Inc. While the Foundation holds equity interests in the Company, it operates as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity with its own governance and fiduciary responsibilities.
